Monday 27th February 2017 was a very important day for Rialto Youth Project. The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone came to visit.

It was our honour to host, introduce and showcase to the Minister some amazing pieces of work young people at Rialto Youth Project have participated in to date.
During the visit workers from both Fatima and Dolphin Homework Clubs as well as Rialto Youth Project Youth work Team, presented the Minister with presentations highlighting the challenges brought about by present funding structures and social injustices experienced by young people in our community.
Recently Rialto Youth Project published ‘Lines from Rialto’ which was our first collection of creative writing . During the visit young people who were part of the creative writing process read their personal poems for the Minister.
Before the Minister departed young people gifted her with a collection of recent pieces of work that demonstrated their talents through the arts based programmes that Rialto Youth Project values as an integral part of our work.
